Case Description
I remember having my teeth decaying all through out junior high and high school. We were four kids living in one apartment so the last thing I could bother my parents about were cavities. By the time I was in high school I already had two missing teeth. I am now 32 and cant believe that I've been living like this for so long. I can't afford dental implants and I dont have insurance. When I had insurance I fixed whatever I could. If I could make one wish for all my life, I would wish for perfect teeth. I would appreciate any kind and awesome dentist to help me get this done by putting me on a payment plan that I can afford so I can get this done. I cant even begin to describe how much my self esteem has suffered all these years bc of this....

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Unfortunately you are not alone. I have heard a similar story from many patients. I myself did not have great teeth and would never smile as a child, teen and early twenties.

I think it sounds like you believe, like so many others that dental insurance is actually insurance, like medical. If it were, you would have an exam first and then they would determine your rate! Unfortunately dental insurance is usually about 1000, that was the same as 1960''''s rate. A filling in 1960 was much less than it is today, the same for cars, gas, houses, etc. So I definitely understand why you still have missing teeth if you left it up to your insurance, as it costs more than 1000 to replace a missing body part, anywhere on the body!

I always cringe when a patient says they did not come to the dentist because of a lack of insurance, how can the insurance company be so misleading that people feel if they don''''t have it they can''''t take care of their mouth? This of course leads to more problems, and more expense on the patients part.

.

I think you will find most offices, like mine, offer CareCredit or some other financing available to you so you can restore your mouth. You can even make payments to the office before the work is done if you don''''t want to finance it. Unfortunately, not many offices left can afford to do work and have you pay after the fact.

There are many options besides implants to restore your missing teeth. Hope this is of some help, and I wish you luck!
