Case Description
I have a veneer crown that was put on in May of 2007. It just popped off about 3 days after I had my teeth cleaned by a hygienist. I did some research and fount out that a crown should last from 5 to 15 years. I was also told that it would cost me $950 to have this crown replaced. Am I being overcharged for this service?

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Cost Estimate: $950-1400
you are not being overcharged for this procedure. In fact for an all ceramic crown the fee can range from $950 to $1400 depending on the type of crown and whether the tooth needs to be built up. If you have any further questions feel free to call us at 330 468 0980

thank you,

Cost Estimate: $775.00
There are veneers and there are crowns; not the same thing. I assume you have a crown of porcelain nature. Why do you need a replacement? Can they not just recement it back in? $950 is quite a lot. We charge $775. If interested please feel free to contact us. Thanks.
