Case Description
Hello, I had a crowned/filling on my lower right molar which just broke/chipped..---javascript:addtooth('30')--- and my last visit to a dentist was about 2 years ago before I went to Vermont..I moved back a year ago..and now I don't have insurance and I am expected to move back up to Vermont next week. I'm experiencing pain on that molar which is hurting the gums/nerves/right jaw side, and was hoping a dentist in the nearby area would be kind enough to pull that tooth out and I hope it won't cost me much. Filling is a possibility to ease the pain but I think pulling it might be the best way to go. I'd like to see a dentist before October 12th which is the day I move. I prefer email because I'm hearing-impaired/hard of hearing.....Thank you.

Good Luck with your move. If you were my family, oral surgeons suggested would be Drs. Don Lewis, Scott Alperin or Eric Fried.

I strongly suggest you seek an oral surgeon immediately as there is a conflict with your moving date. Oct. 12th is Wed. already. You alone must be convinced that removal is the only option however we as dentists always try to save what is saveable. If you're in pain it might be salvageable with immediate root canal treatment (endodontist) otherwise extraction is the only choice. You might get a quick exam and x-ray from a gen. dentist then a referral, as deemed necessary, to a specialist to avoid any complications in light of this sudden moving to VT. Good luck!
